Murdoch Childrens Research Institute

Murdoch Childrens Research Institute

When our kids are sick, we take it for granted that the doctors and nurses will know what to do to make them better. We forget it is only past research discoveries that have made this possible.

In 25 years, Murdoch Childrens Research Institute has become the preeminent child health research institute in Australia, recognised globally for its child health discoveries.

Our team of 1400 researchers works to solve the big health issues currently affecting our kids like allergies, cancer, diabetes, premature birth and mental health problems.

Our integration with our campus partners The Royal Children’s Hospital and the University of Melbourne enables the accelerated development of practical treatments, screening and preventive measures from bench to bedside and the community.

As governments and other grant making bodies tend to support established research, events such as Art for Science are vital to providing the seed funding we need to bring bold, daring and innovative research ideas to life. Gifts to the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute are an investment in the future health of children.
